One Digital Media, the clever chaps who have been slapping up those very nice advertising screens all over the shop have joined forces with Mobilitrix, a mobile phone marketing operation, to provide a paperless vouchering system for major client Spar. ODM has screens up in 134 Superspars, which will doubtless be used to inform shoppers of the voucher promotion at hand. Vouchers will be delivered to shoppers via cellphone while they are instore, and they will then be able to redeem these at the tillpoint. The very cunning thing is that the system facilitates that holy promotional grail ? real time measurability.
Comment:
Fiendish. In some way, which brighter sparks than us might fathom, this experiment represents a turning point for the convergence of technology in the commercial realm.
