The SPAR digital media network is an advertising based network for one of South Africa’s most established and largest retailers. The network was launched in August 2007 and has been rolled out to 122 SUPERSPAR format stores across the country.
With 68% of shoppers being interrupted by SPAR in-store digital screens while they are shopping and an average sales increase of 29.6%, the network has seen a large number of South Africa’s most respected brands featuring on our screens.
Zone specific shopper mindsets lie at the basis of our screen position strategy, which resulted in screens being placed in three key zones to grab maximum attention and effectively drive conversion.

ENTRANCE SCREENS

SPAR entrance screens
Large 42 INCH screens are positioned at the store entrance to grab attention right at the start of the shopper journey. These screens feature a relatively wide range of in-store products and promotions, thereby aiming to assist customers to determine or adjust their shopping plan.

SPAR Category screens
Medium 32 INCH category screens are placed in the aisles and in particular store sections.
These screens display category specific deals and promotions, thereby influencing or altering brand selection within a given category. When placed in particular sections, they may draw people to particular areas in-store, such as the bakery section, featuring bakery related specials.
